A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to a deduction from a state employee's wages or a retiree's |
|
|
annuity for membership fees in a state employee organization. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. The heading to Section 403.0165, Government |
|
|
Code, is amended to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 403.0165. CERTIFICATION OF [PAYROLL DEDUCTION FOR] |
|
|
STATE EMPLOYEE ORGANIZATION. |
|
|
SECTION 2. Sections 403.0165(a), (b), (c), (e), and (h), |
|
|
659.1031, and 814.009, Government Code, are repealed. |
|
|
SECTION 3. On the effective date of this Act, an |
|
|
authorization for a deduction under former Section 403.0165(a), |
|
|
659.1031, or 814.009, Government Code, expires. |
|
|
SECTION 4. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
