A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the exemption of certain mobility items and daily |
|
|
general use items for the elderly to be exempted from sales taxes. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 151.313 Tax Code, is amended by adding |
|
|
subsection (e) to read as follows: |
|
|
(a) The following are exempted from the taxes imposed by |
|
|
this chapter during first weekend in August of each fiscal year: |
|
|
(1) Wheelchairs, walking canes, walkers, adult diapers, and |
|
|
decompression socks. |
|
|
This Act takes effect August 1, 2015. |
