SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
         WHEREAS, The Legislature of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Johnny Trotter of Hereford on the occasion of his
  induction into the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame; and
         WHEREAS, The Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame was established to
  honor those men and women who have excelled in the sport and
  business of rodeo and who have advanced the western lifestyle in
  Texas; and
         WHEREAS, Johnny Trotter is president of the American Quarter
  Horse Association; for many years, he has focused his efforts on
  racing and roping and on issues related to the use of horses in
  ranch work and breeding; he is an avid team roper and has
  participated in numerous competitions, including the World Series
  of Team Roping; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Trotter is also the chief executive officer of
  Livestock Investors, Limited, and an executive committee member of
  First Financial Bankshares, Incorporated; he has been active in a
  wide range of community and philanthropic organizations, including
  the West Texas A&M University Foundation, the Make-A-Wish
  Foundation, and the Spicer Gripp Memorial Youth Foundation; and
         WHEREAS, He is respected and admired for his many
  contributions to his community and the ranching and rodeo
  industries of Texas, and it is truly fitting that he receive special
  recognition; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the 84th Legislature of the State of Texas
  hereby commend Johnny Trotter on his many achievements and extend
  congratulations to him on his 2015 induction into the Texas Cowboy
  Hall of Fame; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be prepared for him
  as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
