SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 8
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize the Cameron Yoe High School football team, which recently
  won the Class 3A Division I state championship title; and
 
         WHEREAS, The Cameron Yoemen were victorious in their
  appearance at the state finals, defeating the Edna Cowboys 70-34
  at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington; after a close lead in the first
  half, the Yoemen pushed through a 28-0 scoring run to close out
  the game; and
 
         WHEREAS, These young athletes have demonstrated great
  talent and perseverance throughout the school year, and their
  dedication has truly paid off; team members can take pride in
  their outstanding performance; and
 
         WHEREAS, Under the superior leadership and expertise of
  their talented coaching staff, the Yoemen have developed
  exceptional teamwork and discipline; and
 
         WHEREAS, Cameron Yoe High School and the City of Cameron
  are proud of the Yoemen for their hard work, their impressive
  skills, and their fine sportsmanship; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
  Legislature, hereby commend the Cameron Yoe High School Yoemen on
  their successful season and congratulate them on winning the Class
  3A Division I state football championship; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  the team as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
