SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 53
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Jackson S. Riggins of Troop 405 in Georgetown has |
|
|
recently been honored by the Boy Scout program for attaining the |
|
|
rank of Eagle Scout; and |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, Jackson planned, developed, and conducted a |
|
|
service project that has benefited his community, and he is |
|
|
recognized as an outstanding leader; and |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, Jackson has brought great honor to himself in |
|
|
earning the coveted Eagle Badge, and his family, his troop, his |
|
|
community, and his state are justly proud of his great |
|
|
accomplishment; and |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and |
|
|
promise, this personable young man advanced through the ranks of |
|
|
Tenderfoot, Second, First, Star, and Life classes before |
|
|
reaching Eagle Scout; and |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, Jackson has become one of the select few who have |
|
|
earned this prestigious honor, and he is a shining example to the |
|
|
young people of Texas; now, therefore, be it |
| |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
|
|
Legislature, hereby congratulate Jackson S. Riggins on becoming |
|
|
an Eagle Scout and commend him on this great achievement; and, be |
|
|
it further |
| |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
|
Eagle Scout Riggins as an expression of high regard from the |
|
|
Texas Senate. |
