SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 77
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service on the
  occasion of its 100th anniversary and the Liberty County
  Extension Office for its outstanding programs; and
         WHEREAS, Throughout its history, the Texas A&M AgriLife
  Extension Service has been an invaluable resource for citizens
  across the state; the organization is known for its trusted
  research and educators and for its ability to solve a wide range
  of problems; and
         WHEREAS, County extension agents offer a wide array of
  opportunities for volunteers to serve their communities; agents
  provide these dedicated men and women with training and
  curriculum resources for such important initiatives as the Texas
  4-H Youth Development Program; and
         WHEREAS, The many programs offered by the Liberty County
  Extension Office include the Master Gardener Horticulture Program,
  Jumpstart Child Care Provider Training, the Walk Across Texas
  Program, the Texas Rural Leadership Program, and the Teaching
  Agricultural Sustainability Through Economics Program; and
         WHEREAS, The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service has had a
  profound impact on the state's environment and natural resources
  and has played a significant role in improving agricultural
  practices; the extension service is truly deserving of special
  recognition as it celebrates this milestone in its history; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
  Legislature, hereby congratulate the Texas A&M AgriLife
  Extension Service on its 100th anniversary and commend the
  Liberty County Extension Office on carrying out the work of the
  service through its excellent programs; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  the Liberty County Extension Office as an expression of esteem
  from the Texas Senate.
