SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 106
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  join the citizens of Howard County and Texans across the state in
  celebrating February 10, 2015, as Howard County Day at the
  Capitol; and
         WHEREAS, Howard County is situated in the heart of West
  Texas; the county has a thriving diversified economy and is noted
  as a center for the petroleum industry, and for education, health
  care, agriculture, transportation, and manufacturing; Big
  Spring, Coahoma, and Forsan have a rich history and are
  prospering; and
         WHEREAS, Howard County offers residents and visitors a
  wide variety of recreational opportunities; the county is home to
  Big Spring State Park, Comanche Trail Park, and Moss Lake; the
  Heritage Museum and the Hangar 25 Air Museum are a source of
  valuable insights into the region's history; and
         WHEREAS, The people of Howard County are deeply devoted to
  their communities and to the land that has shaped them; they are
  confidently looking forward to a prosperous future while
  continuing to embrace their rich and colorful past; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
  Legislature, hereby commend the people of Howard County on their
  many contributions to the growth and prosperity of our state and
  extend to them best wishes for a memorable Howard County Day at
  the Capitol; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in
  honor of this special occasion.
