Alfred Esparza Gomez |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and |
|
commemorates the life of Alfred Esparza Gomez, who died January 12, |
|
2015, at the age of 55; and |
|
WHEREAS, Alfred Gomez was born on January 29, 1959, in San |
|
Antonio, to Toribio and Irene Gomez; he served the nation with |
|
distinction as a member of the United States Marine Corps; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Gomez enjoyed a fulfilling career as an |
|
operator with VIA Metropolitan Transit; he played an important |
|
role in shaping solutions for workplace issues through his |
|
service as vice president of his union; and |
|
WHEREAS, A man of strength, wisdom, and generosity, he gave |
|
unselfishly to others, and his great sense of humor and his |
|
enthusiasm for living each day to the fullest will not be |
|
forgotten; and |
|
WHEREAS, He was devoted to his family, and he leaves behind |
|
memories that will be treasured forever by those who were |
|
privileged to share in his life; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
|
Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved |
|
family of Alfred Esparza Gomez; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas |
|
Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in |
|
memory of Alfred Esparza Gomez. |
