Edward Francis Bysinski |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens |
|
|
of San Antonio in mourning the loss of Captain Edward Francis |
|
|
Bysinski, who died January 31, 2015, at the age of 92; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Edward Bysinski was born on August 6, 1922, in |
|
|
Hammond, Indiana; he enriched the lives of all who knew him |
|
|
through his strength, his engaging personality, and his |
|
|
enthusiasm for living each day to the fullest; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, He joined the United States Air Force at the age |
|
|
of 22 and served with distinction as a fighter pilot in World War |
|
|
II; he earned the rank of captain during his 23 years of service |
|
|
and was the recipient of numerous awards and medals; he retired |
|
|
from the military in 1968; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In 2011, he was honored with the Distinguished |
|
|
Service to Country Award by the Bexar County Democratic Party, |
|
|
and the following year he was named honorary Grand Marshall of |
|
|
San Antonio's annual Veterans Day Parade by the United States |
|
|
Military Veterans Parade Association; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Captain Bysinski was preceded in death by his |
|
|
lifetime partner, Dora Rabago; he cherished time spent with his |
|
|
family, and he was a man of faith who was active in many civic and |
|
|
political organizations; he will long be remembered with |
|
|
affection and admiration by all who were privileged to share in |
|
|
his life; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
|
|
Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved |
|
|
family of Captain Edward Francis Bysinski; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
|
his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas |
|
|
Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in |
|
|
memory of Captain Edward Francis Bysinski. |
