SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 186

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize the Lake Ray Roberts Area Elks BBQ Challenge, where accomplished pit masters from around the state put their skills to the test as they compete for prizes in several different categories; and

WHEREAS, The first annual Lake Ray Roberts Area Elks BBQ Challenge is taking place on the grounds of the Lake Ray Roberts Area Elks Lodge; and

WHEREAS, Featuring good food and spirited culinary competition, the Lake Ray Roberts Area Elks BBQ Challenge is all the more special for the support it provides to worthwhile causes, including youth programs, programs for the needy or disabled, veterans service programs, community service programs, and a drug awareness program, and the event is sure to be enjoyed by all those who attend; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th Legislature, hereby commend all those involved in the Lake Ray Roberts Area Elks BBQ Challenge and extend to all sincere best wishes for an enjoyable occasion; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in honor of this special event.
