SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 197

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins citizens across the state in celebrating Texas Public Schools Week; and

WHEREAS, The students in Texas public schools hold the promise of a successful future, and our schools serve as keepers of that promise by providing the educational tools that are vital to student success; and

WHEREAS, Parents, educators, and community leaders are a source of support and strength to our young citizens and help prepare them for the future; and

WHEREAS, Texas Public Schools Week is traditionally celebrated in the first full week of March; the week is an opportunity to recognize our public school system and the many individuals who help our schools to thrive; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th Legislature, hereby honor the parents, educators, administrators, and community leaders who dedicate their time to the young people of our state and to the continued improvement of our public school system and extend best wishes to all for a rewarding Texas Public Schools Week; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in honor of the public schools of Texas.
