SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 249
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize the Edinburg High School Bobcat Cheerleaders, who
  recently won their third consecutive national championship
  title; and
 
         WHEREAS, The Bobcat cheerleaders were among 13,000
  participants at the 2015 National Cheerleading Association
  competition held in Dallas; the talented athletes were judged on
  technical skills, choreographed cheer, and dance; and
 
         WHEREAS, In addition to earning the highest score in the
  Small Intermediate Coed High School division, the team came home
  with the Specialty Award for Best Stunts; and
 
         WHEREAS, These young performers have demonstrated great
  talent and perseverance throughout the school year, and team
  members can indeed take pride in their outstanding performance; and
 
         WHEREAS, Under the superior leadership of Coach Eva
  Guerra-Perez, the Bobcat cheerleaders have developed exceptional
  teamwork and discipline; and
 
         WHEREAS, Edinburg High School and the City of Edinburg are
  proud of the Bobcats for their determination and their fine
  sportsmanship; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
  Legislature, hereby commend the Edinburg High School Bobcat
  Cheerleaders on their outstanding achievements and congratulate
  them on winning the 2015 National Cheerleading Association
  championship; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  the team as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
