SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 261
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Stephen Christopher Suprun Jr., who was recently
  elected chairman of the Emergency Medical Services for Children
  National Resource Center Advisory Council; and
 
         WHEREAS, Christopher Suprun has served his community for
  more than 20 years in both volunteer and paid ranks as a
  firefighter and a paramedic; he was a first responder to the
  attack on the Pentagon on September 11, 2001, and he served Texas
  as a responder to Hurricane Katrina in 2005; and
 
         WHEREAS, A truly dedicated leader in his field, he is a
  national spokesperson for the Never Forget Foundation, a
  nonprofit organization that teaches emergency preparedness to
  children, and he has published numerous articles related to
  emergency medical services and their delivery; and
 
         WHEREAS, Christopher Suprun works diligently to ensure a
  bright and healthy future for children in need of emergency
  medical attention, and his work is inspirational to all who
  respond to emergencies; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
  Legislature, hereby commend Stephen Christopher Suprun Jr. on
  his leadership in all areas of emergency medical services and
  congratulate him on his election as chairman of the Emergency
  Medical Services for Children National Resource Center Advisory
  Council; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
