SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 415
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  welcome the coalition of civic-minded Texans gathering in Austin
  on March 23, 2015, to discuss transportation policy on Toll-Free
  Texas Day at the State Capitol; and
 
         WHEREAS, In a combined effort, the dedicated members of
  three associations are advocating for the construction of new
  roads that will not require drivers to pay tolls; and
 
         WHEREAS, Members of Texans Uniting for Reform and Freedom,
  the Eagle Forum, and Grassroots America-We the People are coming
  together to engage in discussion and debate and to represent
  their views as part of the process by which public policy is
  developed; and
 
         WHEREAS, Each of these groups has successfully advocated
  for goals that its members support, and they have empowered
  countless citizens to speak out on issues of vital importance;
  they have worked closely with state and national policy groups,
  think tanks, and conservative groups across the country; and
 
         WHEREAS, The continued prosperity of the Lone Star State
  depends on an effective transportation system, and concerned
  citizens have a vital role to play in the discussions surrounding
  this matter; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
  Legislature, hereby recognize March 23, 2015, as Toll-Free Texas
  Day at the State Capitol and commend all those involved for their
  civic engagement.
