SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 479
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Sean T. Chapman of Troop 232 in Nederland has |
|
|
recently been honored by the Boy Scout program for attaining the |
|
|
rank of Eagle Scout, a rank achieved by only five out of every 100 |
|
|
boys in the program; and |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, This fine young man displayed outstanding leadership |
|
|
through the planning and execution of a service project that has |
|
|
benefited his community; to complete his project, he dedicated |
|
|
500 hours to building equipment and to landscaping for the Junior |
|
|
Sailing Camp in Port Arthur; and |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, Sean advanced through the ranks of Tenderfoot, |
|
|
Second, First, Star, and Life classes before reaching the rank of |
|
|
Eagle Scout by following the principles of the Scout oath and |
|
|
promise; and |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, By becoming an Eagle Scout, this personable young |
|
|
man has brought great distinction to himself, his family, his |
|
|
troop, his community, and his state; and |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, Sean is an exceptional representative of the |
|
|
State of Texas and a sterling example to all who have the good |
|
|
fortune to know him; now, therefore, be it |
| |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th |
|
|
Legislature, hereby commend Sean T. Chapman on earning the rank |
|
|
of Eagle Scout and congratulate him on his great achievement; |
|
|
and, be it further |
| |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
|
Eagle Scout Chapman as an expression of high regard from the |
|
|
Texas Senate. |
