SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 537
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize the third annual Taste of Terry County Vineyard
  Festival, which is being held August 1, 2015; and
 
         WHEREAS, This enjoyable annual event has served to help
  raise awareness of the importance of the wine grape industry in
  Terry County and the prevalence of vineyards in the region; and
 
         WHEREAS, Terry County, with its hot summer days and cool
  nights, dry, windy environment, and well-draining soil is an
  ideal area for growing world-class wine grapes; and
 
         WHEREAS, Wine grapes are an increasingly important crop in
  Texas, and the skilled and knowledgeable farmers who bring them
  to harvest play a vital role in our state's agricultural
  industry; it is truly fitting that the Taste of Terry County
  Vineyard Festival receive recognition for the role it plays in
  promoting this significant segment of the state's economy; now,
  therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
  Legislature, hereby commend the organizers of the Taste of Terry
  County Vineyard Festival on their hard work and commitment and
  extend to them best wishes for a rewarding event; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in
  honor of this special occasion.
