SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 573
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Caroline Natalie Richards
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
  citizens of Austin in mourning the loss of Caroline Natalie
  Richards, who died January 9, 2015, at the young age of 12; and
         WHEREAS, Caroline was the treasured daughter of Mark and
  Lauren Richards and granddaughter of Jane and Lawrence Graham;
  she attended Hyde Park Middle School, where she excelled in
  athletics and was always surrounded by friends; and
         WHEREAS, She was a happy child who was known for her
  vibrant smile, even in the face of her struggle with
  osteosarcoma; her generosity knew no bounds, and she was always
  there to help those who she felt needed support; and
         WHEREAS, She loved sports, giant hair bows, shopping, and
  singing, and she cherished time spent with her labradoodles,
  Talulah and Olive; and
         WHEREAS, Caroline was proud to be honored as one of five
  ambassadors of the Saint Baldrick's Foundation, an organization
  that raises funds for pediatric cancer research and provides
  support to families; and
         WHEREAS, This brave young girl enriched the lives of all
  who knew her through her love, laughter, and kindness; her
  dauntless spirit was an inspiration to many, and she leaves
  behind memories that will be treasured forever by all who were
  privileged to share in her life; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
  Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
  family of Caroline Natalie Richards; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
  Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
  memory of Caroline Richards.
