SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 613

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Susan Gudell, who is retiring April 30, 2015, after more than 26 years of outstanding service with the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts; and

WHEREAS, Susan Gudell joined the comptroller's office in 1988 as a member of the Word Processing Division, where her co-workers inspired her to learn computer programming; she transferred out of the division in 1994 to work on a variety of information technology systems, and she participated in the creation of some of the first application security matrices; and

WHEREAS, Throughout her career, Susan has been noted for her superior organizational skills and her wide-ranging expertise, and she has participated in several Technical Work Groups, including the Multi-Platform Improvement Team; and

WHEREAS, Talented and resourceful, she has handled her many responsibilities with exceptional dedication and efficiency; and

WHEREAS, An exemplary public servant, she is respected and admired by her colleagues, and her presence with the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th Legislature, hereby commend Susan Gudell on her exceptional service to the people of Texas as an employee of the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts and extend to her best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
