SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 726
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Samone A. Jones for her outstanding work in the office
  of Senator Royce West during the 84th Legislative Session; and
         WHEREAS, Samone Jones was a participant in the Texas
  Legislative Internship Program, an educational program sponsored
  by Senator Rodney Ellis and administered by Texas Southern
  University; and
         WHEREAS, She is a resident of Louisiana and is currently a
  student at Southern University Law Center, where she has
  displayed strengths in the areas of research, drafting of legal
  opinions, and writing briefs; and
         WHEREAS, Samone has honed her skills at previous
  internship opportunities in a law firm in Atlanta and in public
  offices in Tallahassee; as a legislative intern, she has made
  notable contributions to the office of Senator Royce West while
  gaining practical experience in state-level politics and
  governance; and
         WHEREAS, A highly intelligent and capable student, Samone
  has had the opportunity to participate in all facets of the
  governmental process, and she can now use that experience to help
  her on her path of academic and career success; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
  Legislature, hereby commend Samone A. Jones for her
  contributions to the office of Senator Royce West as a
  participant in the Texas Legislative Internship Program and
  extend to her best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
