SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 753
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Lieutenant Colonel James G. Nolan for his 20 years of
  exceptional service with the Texas State Guard; and
         WHEREAS, Lieutenant Colonel Nolan was commissioned as an
  officer with the Texas State Guard on May 13, 1995, and he
  currently serves with distinction as a member of the Judge
  Advocate General's Corps; and
         WHEREAS, A 1985 graduate of Southern Methodist University
  School of Law, he also serves the state as an associate deputy
  general counsel with the Office of the Comptroller of Public
  Accounts; and
         WHEREAS, The Texas State Guard plays an important role in
  the defense of our nation's security and democratic ideals, and
  for 20 years, Lieutenant Colonel Nolan has been instrumental in
  carrying out the mission of this valuable division of the
  military forces; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
  Legislature, hereby commend Lieutenant Colonel James G. Nolan on
  his exceptional service to our state and nation as a 20-year
  member of the Texas State Guard and extend to him best wishes for
  continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  him as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
