SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 976

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Patrick David Henderson of Hutto on the occasion of his graduation from the Texas School for the Deaf; and

WHEREAS, Patrick's graduation is the culmination of diligent study in a curriculum designed to challenge him and broaden his knowledge; he is celebrating this milestone in commencement exercises on June 4, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Patrick can take pride in having earned his diploma from the Texas School for the Deaf; the school is respected in academic circles in Texas, as well as nationally, for its quality of instruction and dedication to excellence in teaching; and

WHEREAS, A talented and hardworking student, Patrick came to the Texas School for the Deaf in 2005; in addition to his academic studies, he was involved in football, basketball, and track; he plans to attend Southwest Collegiate Institute for the Deaf and hopes to work in the automobile service industry; and

WHEREAS, Patrick can face the future with confidence that his proven abilities, learning skills, and acquired knowledge will hold him in good stead for whatever vocation he chooses; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th Legislature, hereby congratulate Patrick David Henderson on his graduation from the Texas School for the Deaf and extend to him best wishes for the future; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
