SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 977

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Adrianna Evelyn Sandoval of Round Rock on the occasion of her graduation from the Texas School for the Deaf; and

WHEREAS, Adrianna's graduation is the culmination of diligent study in a curriculum designed to challenge her and broaden her knowledge; she is celebrating this milestone in commencement exercises on June 4, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Adrianna can take pride in having earned her diploma from the Texas School for the Deaf; the school is respected in academic circles in Texas, as well as nationally, for its quality of instruction and dedication to excellence in teaching; and

WHEREAS, A talented and hardworking student, Adrianna came to the Texas School for the Deaf in 2012; in addition to her regular coursework, she was involved in drama and international studies and had the opportunity to travel to Panama; she served as manager for the girls' basketball team and as a member of the theater stage crew and the yearbook staff; she plans to attend Gallaudet University and hopes to work with the Peace Corps; and

WHEREAS, Adrianna can face the future with confidence that her proven abilities, learning skills, and acquired knowledge will hold her in good stead for whatever path she chooses; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th Legislature, hereby congratulate Adrianna Evelyn Sandoval on her graduation from the Texas School for the Deaf and extend to her best wishes for the future; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
