SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1000
WHEREAS, Members of the Los Carnales/La Familia Motorcycle
Club are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their organization
  on December 12, 2015; and
WHEREAS, The club was established in 1995 by a group of
Houston police officers who shared a love for the open road and
  American-manufactured V-Twin motorcycles, as well as a
commitment to community service; founding members included
Mondel Martin, Russell Fisher, Max Williams, Rock Rheinhart, and
John Gonzalez; the civic-minded organization, which continues to
draw its membership largely from the ranks of law enforcement but
has grown to include like-minded family members and friends, has
since expanded outside Texas and even beyond the borders of the
United States, and it now encompasses 28 chapters; and
WHEREAS, Over the years, Texas chapters have benefited a
host of worthy organizations across the Lone Star State, among
them the Arc of Fort Bend County, World for Children, the Spring
Branch Elementary Bike Give-Away, Court Appointed Special
Advocates, Navidad en el Barrio, the Peace Officers Memorial
Foundation, and The Crisis Center in Matagorda and Wharton
  Counties; and
WHEREAS, For two decades, the Los Carnales/La Familia
Motorcycle Club has promoted camaraderie and charitable giving,
and this significant milestone provides an ideal opportunity to
recognize the group for its contributions; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
Legislature, hereby commemorate the 20th anniversary of the
founding of the Los Carnales/La Familia Motorcycle Club and
extend to its members sincere best wishes for a memorable and
meaningful celebration; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
prepared for the club as an expression of high regard from the
