SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1029
         WHEREAS, The inaugural Texas Hobo Cook-Off and Gypsy
  Jamboree is taking place on July 3 and 4, 2015, in East Texas on
  the grounds of the historic Texas State Railroad; and
 
         WHEREAS, Benefiting the Cherokee County 4-H and Youth
  Development Program, the Texas Hobo Cook-Off and Gypsy Jamboree
  is sanctioned by the International Barbeque Cookers Association
  as one of the organization's state championship events; the
  highly anticipated cook-off will feature skilled pit masters
  putting their talents to the test as they vie to produce the
  tastiest entries in several different categories; and
 
         WHEREAS, A fun and spirited culinary competition, the
  cook-off is being held in conjunction with a festival, and
  participants will be able to visit a variety of booths and enjoy
  live music, dancing, and other activities; and
 
         WHEREAS, The Texas Hobo Cook-Off and Gypsy Jamboree offers
  an exciting time for individuals of all ages, and this
  celebration of distinctive Lone Star cooking is all the more
  noteworthy for the assistance it provides to area youth; now,
  therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
  Legislature, hereby commemorate the first annual Texas Hobo
  Cook-Off and Gypsy Jamboree and extend to the event's organizers,
  participants, and guests sincere best wishes for an enjoyable and
  memorable experience.
