SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1042
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  David Eric Rosenfeld
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens
  of Houston in mourning the loss of David Eric Rosenfeld, who died
  May 24, 2015; and
         WHEREAS, David Rosenfeld was born in Los Angeles and grew
  up in Ventura, California; he was a source of inspiration to those
  who knew him, and he was noted for his kindness, his creative
  spirit, and his unyielding commitment to social justice; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Rosenfeld had a rewarding marketing career
  that led to leadership positions at Azurix and Enron; in 2001, he
  became vice president of Unleaded Communications, a national
  marketing firm; and
         WHEREAS, He was a man of deep spiritual devotion and an
  active member of the global Jewish community; he lived for a year
  on a kibbutz in Israel, and he made a difference in the lives of
  many as a leader in the North American Federation of Temple
  Youth; he helped establish Congregation Shma Koleinu in Houston;
  he had many interests, and he was an avid cyclist; and
         WHEREAS, A devoted husband and father, he was married to
  Wendy Lusky Rosenfeld, and they were blessed with three children
  who were a source of immense pride and joy; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Rosenfeld was respected and admired for his many
  contributions to his community, and he leaves behind memories
  that will long be cherished by all who were privileged to share in
  his life; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
  Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
  family of David Eric Rosenfeld; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
  Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
  memory of David Eric Rosenfeld.
