SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1048

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Charles William McMillon for his exceptional work during the 84th Legislative Session; and

WHEREAS, Charlie McMillon is a 2014 graduate of Jasper High School, where he was active in numerous organizations and served as vice-president of the National Honor Society; and

WHEREAS, This exceptionally hardworking young man has served the State of Texas as an intern for the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station, as a messenger for the Texas Senate, and as an intern in the office of Senator Donna Campbell; and

WHEREAS, Through his experience during the legislative session, Charlie has gained firsthand knowledge of the governmental process and work experience in a political environment as well as insight into the issues facing our communities and our state today; and

WHEREAS, Diligent, resourceful, and talented, Charlie has handled his multi-faceted responsibilities with exceptional skill, and he has made notable contributions to the offices he has served; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th Legislature, hereby commend Charles William McMillon for his commitment to excellence as an intern and messenger during the legislative session and extend to him best wishes for the future; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
