HB38 by Cook (Relating to the duties of nonprofit corporations regarding certain contributions and the disclosure of information relating to those contributions in certain campaign finance reports.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Business Organizations Code to restrict the use of certain contributions received by nonprofit corporations and would not require the disclosure of such contributions to the Ethics Commission. The Ethics Commission indicates that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2015.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
