FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

May 7, 2015

TO:
Honorable Robert Nichols, Chair, Senate Committee on Transportation

FROM:
Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB168 by Larson (Relating to privileged parking for Distinguished Flying Cross medal recipients.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Chapter 681 of the Transportation Code to include vehicles registered with Distinguished Flying Cross specialty license plates to the list of registered vehicles currently exempt from payment of parking fees collected through parking meters charged by a governmental authority other than a branch of the federal government, when being operated by or for the transportation of persons who registered the vehicle.

Based on the information provided by the Department of Motor Vehicles, it is assumed the provisions of the bill would not result in a significant fiscal impact to the state.

Local Government Impact
