No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Local Government Code to prohibit a municipality from adopting or enforcing regulations relating to the private ownership, keeping, carrying transporting, licensing, or registration of an electric stun gun, a knife, or a personal defense spray. The bill would provide certain exceptions as defined by the provisions of the bill.
