No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Penal Code to prohibit previous convictions for certain intoxication offenses from qualifying for penalty enhancement purposes if the person had no convictions for certain intoxication offenses in the past 10 years. This analysis assumes the provisions of the bill would not result in a significant impact on state correctional agencies.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
