LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

March 17, 2015

TO:
Honorable Harold V. Dutton, Jr., Chair, House Committee on Juvenile Justice & Family Issues

FROM:
Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB212 by Rose (Relating to consent to the immunization of certain children.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would add a section to the Family Code establishing criteria by which a child committed to the Juvenile Justice Department may consent to the child's own immunization. This analysis assumes the provisions of the bill would not result in a significant impact to the Medical Board or the Juvenile Justice Department. The bill would take effect immediately upon receiving a vote of two-thirds of all members in each house, or September 1, 2015.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
