IN RE:	HB232 by Farrar (Relating to the promotion of breast-feeding and the prohibition against interference with or restriction of the right to breast-feed.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

This bill would require state agencies, to the extent practicable, to develop policies that support breastfeeding at agency worksites. The bill also would specify that a mother is entitled to breast-feed her baby in any location where the mother and baby were otherwise authorized to be. The bill would establish a civil cause of action if the mother was denied that entitlement. It is assumed that costs associated with implementing provisions of the bill would not be significant and could be absorbed using existing resources.
