No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Local Government and Government Code to require certain complaints filed against police officers in certain municipalities to be retained by the employing department for as long as the police officer is employed by the political subdivision. Under the provisions of the bill, certain complaints are not exempted from disclosure under Chapter 552, Government Code.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.

The Houston Police Department reported no fiscal impact is anticipated.
