No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Transportation Code to create a tourism certificate program to promote tourism and travel throughout the state in the Texas Department of Transportation.  The bill would take effect September 1, 2015.

The Texas Department of Transportation, Historical Commission, Parks and Wildlife Department, Commission on the Arts, and Office of the Governor indicate that the duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished within each agency's existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
