HB332 by Wu (Relating to the authority of a prosecutor in a juvenile case to appeal certain judicial decisions.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Family Code to permit a prosecuting attorney to appeal a juvenile court order on any type of delinquent conduct or conduct indicating a need for supervision case. The bill would also permit a prosecuting attorney to appeal a juvenile court disposition order on the grounds that it is illegal.
 
Based on information provide by the Office of Court Administration, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by the state court system utilizing existing resources.
