No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure and the Government Code to require the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) to adopt procedures and rules, as described in the bill, related to notifications to certain victims of specified offenses. TDCJ indicates any additional work resulting from the passage of the bill could be reasonably absorbed within current resources. The bill would take effect September 1, 2015.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
