No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Civil Practice and Remedies Code to declare invalid and unenforceable any federal law or order that infringes on certain specified rights associated with the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution or Section 23, Article I, of the Texas Constitution. It is assumed any costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources. The bill would take effect September 1, 2015.
