Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board
IN RE:
HB439 by Gonzales, Larry (Relating to the definition of a motorcycle.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Chapter 541 of the Transportation Code, regarding definitions for rules of the road, to change the definition of a motorcycle.
Based on the information provided by the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), the change to the definition of motorcycle would authorize the titling and registration of certain types of vehicles for road use that are not currently eligible. Based on the analysis of DMV, it is assumed implementation of the bill would not result in a significant impact to state revenue and any costs could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
