No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Election Code and the Government Code requiring certain persons elected to certain public offices to be registered to vote in the jurisdiction from which their office is elected. The Secretary of State indicates the provisions of the bill could be implemented within existing resources. The bill would take effect on September 1, 2015.
