No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Penal Code to enhance the penalty for the offense of official oppression under certain circumstances.  

The Department of Public Safety indicates implementing the provisions of the bill would not result in a significant fiscal impact. This analysis assumes implementing the provisions of the bill would not result in a significant fiscal impact on state correctional agencies.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
