No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would modify existing restrictions on which county commissioners courts could adopt a fire code. The bill would also prohibit certain counties from adopting a fire code that applies to certain facilities, buildings, structures, and activities. The bill would take effect immediately, or, if it does not receive the necessary vote, September 1, 2015.
