No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would require school districts not to provide instruction to students on certain election days. School districts could designate these days as either school holidays or staff development days.
The bill would apply beginning with the 2015-2016 school year.
This bill has no direct fiscal implications for the Foundation School Program (FSP) or the operations of the Texas Education Agency (TEA).
Local Government Impact
