IN RE:
HB765 by King, Susan (Relating to ensuring that certain military members who reside out of state and their dependents maintain their positions on waiting lists for certain assistance programs provided by health and human services agencies.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Chapter 531 of the Government Code, relating to ensuring that certain military members who reside out of state and their dependents maintain their positions on waiting lists for certain assistance programs provided by the health and human services agencies. The bill would require the executive commissioner of the Health and Human Services Commission to adopt rules to implement the bill by December 1, 2015. The bill would direct state agencies to request any federal waiver or authorization necessary to implement the provisions of the bill and authorizes the agencies to delay implementation of provisions until such waiver or authorization is granted.  The health and human services agencies indicate that the provisions of the bill can be implemented within existing resources. The Texas Military Department and the Texas Veterans Commission indicate that the bill has no fiscal impact on those agencies.
