FROM: | Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board |
IN RE: | HB787 by Miller, Rick (Relating to the Texas Military Preparedness Commission.), As Engrossed |
This bill would amend Government Code relating to the Texas Military Preparedness Commission to make the commission subject to Sunset Review in 2026-27. The bill would transfer oversight of the Texas Military Preparedness Commission from the Texas Economic Development and Tourism Office directly to the Texas Military Preparedness Commission, and would remove the definition of a defense community. This bill would take effect September 1, 2015.
LBB anticipates that the duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished within the agency's existing resources.
