LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

May 20, 2015

TO:
Honorable Joe Straus, Speaker of the House, House of Representatives

FROM:
Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB792 by Clardy (Relating to the issuance of specialty license plates for antique buses.), As Passed 2nd House

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Section 504.502, Transportation Code, relating to certain exhibition vehicles, to require the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to issue "Antique Bus" specialty license plates.

Based on the analysis of the DMV, it is assumed the provisions of the bill would not have a significant effect on the state's cash flow and any costs or duties associated implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
