No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Government Code to remove the Texas residency criteria for issuing a silver alert for a missing senior citizen. It is assumed any costs associated with implementing the provisions of this bill could be absorbed within existing resources. 

This bill would take effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each chamber. Otherwise, this bill would take effect September 1, 2015.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
