IN RE:
HB872 by Raymond (Relating to the reactivation of a peace officer license; authorizing fees.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Occupations Code to require the Commission on Law Enforcement to reactivate a peace officer's license after a break in employment if the license holder completed at least 10 years of full-time service, completes an on-line or in-person supplemental peace officer course of not more than 120 hours, and passes a peace officer reactivation exam.

It is assumed that implementing the provisions of the bill would not result in a significant fiscal impact.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2015.
