No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Election Code to modify the material and signature requirements of a ballot to be voted by mail. The bill would prohibit an early voting ballot board from rejecting an early voting ballot for certain reasons relating to the placement of a signature.
The Secretary of State indicates that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources.
The bill would take effect September 1, 2015.
