HB981 by Raymond (Relating to the offense of manslaughter; increasing the penalty for certain offenders.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Penal Code to enhance the punishment for manslaughter from a second degree felony to a first degree felony under certain circumstances.  This analysis assumes implementing the provisions of the bill would not result in a significant impact on state correctional agencies.
