LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

May 18, 2015

TO:
Honorable Charles Schwertner, Chair, Senate Committee on Health & Human Services

FROM:
Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB1038 by Sheffield (Relating to premium payment assistance for insurance coverage for hemophilia medical treatment.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to authorize the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) to include insurance premium payment assistance as a benefit to individuals served by the Hemophilia Assistance Program. DSHS indicates that implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within current resources.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
